Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
My Athlete LLC · Last updated: July 22, 2026 · Added Enhanced Growth Velocity measurements
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice describes how My Athlete LLC ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and shares information that may be considered Consumer Health Data under U.S. state consumer-health-privacy laws — including Washington's My Health My Data Act (MHMDA), Nevada's SB 370, Connecticut's health-data provisions, and similar laws — to the extent they apply to us. It supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.
1. What Consumer Health Data We Collect
Consumer Health Data may include information linked or reasonably linkable to an athlete that relates to physical health or development. For our app this may include:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Body measurements | Height, weight, BMI, growth tracking over time | Entered by a parent/guardian, coach, or athlete (13+) |
| Growth-velocity measurements | Standing height, sitting height (and box/stool height), and optional left/right foot length recorded over time via the optional Enhanced Growth Velocity feature; shoe size, if entered, is stored only as context and never used in calculations | Entered by a parent/guardian (optional, parent-controlled) |
| Demographic health context | Date of birth/age, biological sex (used for CDC growth references) | Entered by a parent/guardian, coach, or athlete (13+) |
| Performance & movement data | Assessment scores, performance metrics, cognitive-baseline trend results | Entered by a parent/guardian, coach, or athlete (13+) |
| Optional adult-height estimate inputs | Biological parents' heights and a timestamped opt-in consent record | Entered by a parent/guardian (optional, parent-controlled) |
| Voluntary information | Any injury or wellness details you choose to enter, and related support messages | Provided voluntarily by you |
2. How and Why We Use Consumer Health Data
We use Consumer Health Data only to:
- Provide and operate the app and its features you request
- Calculate growth percentiles, developmental guidance, progress tracking, and (if you opt in) an informational adult-height range estimate
- Display observed growth-velocity changes and annualized rates from the measurements a parent enters (if you opt in), for informational and educational purposes only
- Provide service communications and support
- Ensure safety, security, and fraud prevention
- Comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights
We do NOT sell Consumer Health Data; use it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising; or use it to train AI/ML models (without your separate, explicit opt-in consent).
3. Who We Share Consumer Health Data With
We do not sell Consumer Health Data. We share it only with service providers (processors) that handle it on our behalf, under contract, solely to provide their services to us — not for their own purposes:
- Supabase — database & authentication hosting
- Cloudflare — website and video delivery (no personal data served with videos)
- Sentry — crash/error diagnostics (sensitive data filtered)
- PostHog — anonymized product analytics (PII scrubbed)
If a coach is on your team, they may see roster and assessment data for athletes whose parent/guardian has authorized that access. We do not otherwise disclose Consumer Health Data to third parties for their independent use, and we would obtain your consent before any such disclosure.
4. Your Rights
Where these laws apply to you, you have the right to:
- Access / confirm: Confirm whether we are collecting your Consumer Health Data and access it.
- Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for our collection or sharing of your Consumer Health Data.
- Delete: Request deletion of your Consumer Health Data.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
5. How to Exercise Your Rights
Email [email protected] with "Consumer Health Data Request" in the subject line. Include your name, account email, and state of residence. We verify your identity (typically by confirming control of the account email) before responding, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
