Privacy update

We have updated our Privacy Policy. This page says what changed and when it applies to you.
From December 7, 2026: basic crash reports for everyone
When the app crashes or freezes, it will send our crash-reporting provider, Sentry, a short technical report so we can fix the problem. This applies to everyone who uses the app. The app sends no name, email or account ID with it, and removes email addresses, ID numbers, link codes, dates and long numbers from its error messages. On phones the report carries a random number for each installation of the app, which we never link to an account. We use crash reports only to keep the app working, never to contact anyone, build a profile or advertise, and we delete them within 90 days. Detailed error reports, which add your recent steps in the app and your account type, stay off unless you switch them on. Until December 7, 2026, crash reports stay an optional choice, as they are today.
The details are in Sections 2 and 16 of the Privacy Policy; Section 16 also explains how crash reports work when a child uses the app.
Correction: what detailed error reports could include before app version 1.0.20
App versions before September 28, 2026 also sent an account ID with each report, and until app version 1.0.20 a detailed error report could also include an account ID within the web address of a request the app made, or, on the web app, a one-time sign-in or password-reset code within the page address. Version 1.0.20 removes them before a report is sent; older versions still in use can include them until they are updated. Sentry deletes reports 30 days after it receives them. Section 7 of the Privacy Policy now says so. This correction does not change what we collect.
Added: an anonymous count of upgrade-screen views and in-app suggestions
Section 2 of the Privacy Policy now names a daily count of how many times the app's upgrade screen is shown and its trial or subscribe button is tapped, and how many times its suggestions to upgrade after a first test result, to do the reaction test and to retest are shown, tapped or dismissed, by platform (iOS, Android or the web). The count keeps no account, device, IP address or time of day and cannot be linked to anyone, so it is not personal information and needs no choice from you. Adding it does not restart or change the notice period.
Update, November 5, 2026
Added to Section 2's anonymous count: how many times the upgrade screen's list of features still in the works is shown and each one is tapped, how many times the Home page's test-day plan card and the Progress page's locked-history card are shown, and how many times the web upgrade page's App Store and Google Play buttons are tapped, the store's purchase sheet opens and ends in a purchase, a cancel or a failure, and the screen and card asking a teen to add their parent are shown and a parent invite is sent. Like the rest of that count, it holds no account, device, IP address or time of day and cannot be linked to anyone. This is not a material change: it does not restart or change the notice period.
The September 23, 2026 update
If you have not already accepted it, our September 23, 2026 update to the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Consumer Health Data notice also takes effect for your existing account on December 7, 2026. It clarified adult authorization for athlete records, separated optional analytics and advertising choices, described when league and program staff may see restricted records, reconciled retained group posts with account deletion, clarified school-directed use, made benchmark contribution permission revocable for future use, and removed custom arbitration batching and the one-year claims limit. Its change notice, with its later corrections, is at /legal-update-2026-09-23.
When this applies
This version applies to accounts that expressly accept it from November 3, 2026. For existing accounts, these changes take effect on December 7, 2026, at least 30 days after our email and in-app notices. Your prior version applies until then. Publication of this page alone does not establish your acceptance.
Stronger technical privacy protections may start immediately. We are not using this update to authorize new uses of previously collected data. Where separate consent is required, notice or continued use is not a substitute.
You may reject a material arbitration change by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of notice, as the Terms explain. Contact us for privacy requests, an export, or deletion.
