Run your league’s season in the app

Divisions, regions and teams. A claim code for every coach. The schedule imported from the LeagueApps or SportsEngine export you already have. Scores that become region and overall standings computed the way your rulebook says. Playoff brackets seeded from them. Certification day without the binder. And a standings page you can text to every parent.

How a season runs

Three steps to a live league. Everything below is done from a laptop or the web app; coaches and families use the phone app.

STEP 1

Set up

Create the competition (league, name, season), then its divisions, regions and teams. Each team gets a claim code the moment it exists; send it to the coach and the team is theirs.

STEP 2

Schedule and scores

Bring your LeagueApps or SportsEngine schedule export as is, or paste ours; games land on the right teams. A coach submits a score, the opponent confirms it, the league finalizes it. Standings follow your tie-break chain, and a tie the rules leave to a coin flip stays a coin flip.

STEP 3

Certification, playoffs, the public page

Pending rosters, a restricted-weight line per division, a certifier from another program, residency as an outcome. Brackets seeded from the standings. One switch makes the standings page public — team names, schedule and finalized scores, never a person.

What it holds, and what it never shows

A sample league you can open

The sample standings page is an invented league — invented programs, teams and scores, labelled as such on the page — showing exactly what a parent sees when you send them your link: region and overall standings per division, this week’s games and the latest results.

Nothing on it is real, and nothing about a real league appears on a public page until that league switches its own page on.

Ten one-minute guides

Recorded in the real app against an invented league, so no real team, score or child appears. The same ten play inside the app, on the screen each one is about.

For leagues

Set up your league

A season, then a division, then a region, then a team — each one hangs off the one above it. The payoff is the last step: the moment a team exists it has a claim code, and that code is how a coach gets in.

Next step: create your season, then send each coach the claim code on their team’s row.

Claim your team

Your league texted you eight characters. It binds your account to one team: its fixtures become yours, you submit its scores and you file its game-day reports. Confirming and finalizing stay with the league.

Next step: open Competitions, tap Claim a team, and enter the code your league gave you.

Import the schedule

Bring your LeagueApps or SportsEngine export as is, or paste the schedule in the columns it already prints. You see what it would change before it changes anything, a row it cannot read is reported with its line number rather than dropped, and an import never deletes. Paste the same schedule twice and nothing happens.

Next step: paste one week into Import fixtures and tap Preview — it writes nothing until you say so.

For coaches

Scores: submit, confirm, finalize

Three acts by two people. A claimed coach submits; league staff confirm and finalize, and only a finalized score counts in the standings. When it turns out to be wrong, a correction is a new row — the first score stays in the history and both are in the audit log.

Next step: submit your score after the next game; your league confirms and finalizes it.

Standings and tie-breaks

The region record seeds the region and the overall record never does. Your own tie-break chain runs in your own order — and where a step is a coin flip, the app names the teams, names the step and stops. It never quietly breaks a tie for you.

Next step: open Standings for your division and read the chain your league stored, top to bottom.

The public standings page

One link a league can put in a group chat. Team names, the schedule and finalized scores for every division — never a person: no athletes, no rosters, no staff. The switch is the only thing the page checks, so turning it off closes it for everyone at once.

Next step: turn the public page on and send the link once, instead of texting screenshots.

Certification day

Every name starts as Pending. The program that certifies is one the league assigned from outside the team, residency is recorded as an outcome and never as an address, and the team’s own coach then affirms it. Weigh-ins are staff-only, and a photo needs a signed consent on file first.

Next step: assign every team a certifying program before your certification day.

For coaches

The game-day report

File it from the fixture in about a minute. The restricted and playing-down lists are not typed — they come from your own certified roster, and you acknowledge having read them. First names only, signed by a named person.

Next step: open your next fixture in Results and tap Game-day report.

Playoffs: seed a bracket

The bracket is seeded from the standings by the rules you already stored — and the best thing it does is refuse. With two teams still tied on a coin flip it stops, names them, and asks you to record the outcome your league produced. Then it seeds.

Next step: record your league’s tie outcomes first, then seed the bracket once.

For families

League standings, for families

Two questions, two views. Team view is your own team’s card — the next game with directions, and the season so far — plus a finder for any other team in the league. Standings view is the tables, by grade and region.

Next step: open League standings from Settings and start on your own team’s card.

Two ways to start

Do it yourself: create a free account, add a League under Programs & Leagues, and open Competitions — the set-up takes an evening with the guides above. Or send your league, season and divisions (your schedule export helps) to [email protected] and we set it up for you, usually the same day.

Questions about a rule your league runs that the app does not describe here? Ask — tie-break chains, qualifier counts and byes are data the league edits, not code.
